8th Grade- Electric and Magnetic Forces Assesments

Students in Miss Busato and Miss Cochrane’s science classes will be participating in their Electromagnet Performance Assessment starting on Wednesday, November 30 through Friday, December 2.  Students will use their knowledge of electric and magnetic forces to test an Electromagnet and make a recommendation to Tesla.
** Absent Students should see their teacher for data for the lab.

On Wednesday, December 7, students will take the Electric and Magnetic Forces Common Assessment.  Students should study their 4 note-sheets on Static Electricity, Current Electricity and Electromagnets, as well as readings in the Google Classroom. Students can also use the Electric and Magnetic Forces Quizlet to study.

8th Grade- 1st Engineering Project 10/28/16-11/4/16

8th Grade students in Miss Busato’s and Miss Cochrane’s classes will be participating in their first engineering project (performance evaluation) of the school year next week!  Students will be creating Egg Crash Cars!  We need your help!  Please bring in any recyclables (cardboard, plastic, bottle caps) on Friday, October 28 and Monday, October 31 that would aid in creating the best cars possible.

Forces and Motion Common Assessment

8th Grade science student will take their Forces and Motion Common Assessment on Wednesday, October 19th.  Students should be using their classroom notes, textbooks pages (link in the Google Classroom), and study guide to prepare.  Students can also use the Review of Concepts Quizlet to play games and study, as well!

All science students must get their District 54 Lab Safety Rules signed and return it to their science teacher as soon as possible.

8th Grade Safety Diagram Common Assessment

Mead 8th grade students will take a common assessment on the safety equipment found in their science classroom on Wednesday, September 7.  Students should use their safety diagrams made in class to study.
