For families who have children attending Hybrid In-Person Learning, please read the important reminders below:

  • Student Symptoms Screening Procedure:  ALL students are required to “self-certify” that they are safe to arrive on campus EVERYDAY.  If your child did not self-certify in the morning, we will be calling to remind you to self-certify daily and then our nurse is required to screen your child for symptoms when they arrive on campus.  Please get in the habit of self-certifying every morning before your child boards the bus and arrives on campus.  Every morning at 5:30 am, an email containing a link to our self-certification form will be sent for each child to the priority email on file each day your child is attending in person.  In addition, you will receive a green screener card and badge holder to attach to your child’s backpack, signifying that your child has completed the symptoms screening that day.
  • Hybrid In-Person Safety Protocols:  Please take the time to review with your children all of the safety protocols we have in place, which are outlined in our Reopening Plan – shared with you on Oct. 1 and posted to our website at sd54.org/reopeningd54. I am also including a link to our online Parent-Student Handbook, which contains links to important District 54 policies and other information.  In addition, I will be sending a Hybrid In-Person Learning safety video by this Friday that your family will be encouraged to view together before your child arrives on campus next week!
