Mead Student Chromebooks 2017-2018
This coming school year, each Mead student will be issued a Dell Chromebook computer as the district is continuing a one-to-one digital learning program in its junior high schools.
As a result, parents, seventh grade students, and students who are new to Mead this year need to attend an informational Chromebook overview meeting. This presentation we will provide a brief overview of our goals for digital learning, review the District 54 Acceptable Use of the Chromebook Guidelines and Acceptable Use of the Internet Guidelines, share our Digital Citizenship curriculum, and explain the optional insurance policy available for the Chromebooks. We will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have. The overview presentations are scheduled on the following days:
August 10 – 8:15 AM or 4:00 PM in the Mead cafeteria.
NEW: August 14 – 6:30 PM in the Mead cafeteria
More information about Chromebook use and the optional protection plan can be found here.
NOTE: Returning 8th grade students and families do not need to attend the Chromebook parent meeting. Also, all parents are required to fill out the optional Chromebook insurance paperwork regardless of whether or not you choose to purchase insurance.
